Personal Tax Advisory Assistant Manager - Kent

If you're a personal tax CTA looking to move into an advisory-focused role, our client offers the opportunity to handle high quality private client tax planning work from their offices in either Canterbury or Chatham. There's also scope to homework a couple of days a week.

You'll work closely with high profile partners and senior managers, providing ad hoc income and capital taxes planning advice to HNW families, entrepreneurs and business owners. This is an advisory-focused role (90%), requiring the CTA qualification and a strong technical understanding of CGT, IHT and income tax issues. Some previous personal tax planning experience would be helpful but is not essential. 

As this is very much a client-facing role, excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the region c.£45k-£55k + bens.

Personal Tax Senior Manager / Associate Director - Tunbridge Wells

Our client offers high quality, new-money entrepreneurial Private Client Tax work without the commute into London.

You’ll join an established and high-profile team, advising regional, London and international wealth. The client base includes PE executives, HNW business owners, serial entrepreneurs and wealthy families. The team undertakes  income and capital taxes planning, shareholder planning, exit strategies for business owners, property-related advice, residence/domicile issues and succession planning.

The team is busy, growing and keen to appoint an additional CTA at Senior Manager or Associate Director level. You will take responsibility for a portfolio of HNW/UHNW individuals and their families, as their key trusted adviser. This will predominantly involve identifying and advising on ad hoc personal tax planning projects. You’ll have the opportunity to work with experienced partners and to build a name for yourself in the region. There is also scope to work with partners and directors on networking and business development initiatives. 

The role would suit an experienced London Manager or Senior Manager looking to pursue their Private Client Tax career outside the Capital. Alternatively, a CTA from a strong regional practice locally. Either way, support will be provided with progression towards AD and Director grades. Some PE-related personal tax experience would be helpful, but is not essential. Strong previous experience of income and capital taxes planning for HNWIs is important.

Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the region £75k-£90k + bens.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with experienced partners and to build a name for yourself in the region. There is also scope to work with partners and directors on networking and business development initiatives.

Alternatively, a CTA from a strong regional practice locally. Either way, support will be provided with progression towards SM and Director grades. Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the region £55k-£65k + bens.

Trust & Tax Senior Manager - Kent/Hybrid

We are working closely with a high quality Private Client team, that advises an impressive HNW UK and international client base from offices near Tunbridge Wells. They are busy, growing and keen to appoint an additional Trusts & Tax adviser at Senior Manager level (c.£70k-£80k dependent on experience).

The incoming individual will work closely with highly experienced directors and partners, providing holistic tax and trusts planning advice.

The role will involve overseeing a portfolio of offshore and onshore trusts. This will include reviewing/preparing complex trust accounts and trust tax returns, undertaking ad hoc trust planning projects and advising on related personal tax issues, managing third-party relationships and liaising with beneficiaries. 

It is a super opportunity for someone to undertake high-end trusts work without trekking in to London. 

The team is embracing hybrid working and there is scope to work from home 2-3 days a week, if one wishes. Ref 665
