Personal Tax Assistant Manager - Cambridge

We are keen to speak to CTA qualified personal tax Seniors and Assistant Managers, who may be interested in a new opportunity in Cambridge.

As a key member of a high-profile Private Client Tax team, you’ll manage a portfolio of HNW entrepreneurs, business owners, prominent academics and landed wealth. You'll also have the opportunity to assist with ad hoc personal tax planning projects. This is very much a client-facing role, offering the chance to act as a true trusted adviser.

You’ll work closely with respected Partners, developing your technical, managerial and business development experience in what is a friendly and supportive environment. 

The incoming individual will have a strong technical grasp of income tax, CGT and IHT (including the use of trusts), with experience of advising new-money HNWIs. 

The firm has adopted hybrid working and flexible hours, with homeworking possible 2-3 days a week. Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the range £45k-£55k.

Personal Tax Advisory Assistant Manager - Kent

If you're a personal tax CTA looking to move into an advisory-focused role, our client offers the opportunity to handle high quality private client tax planning work from their offices in either Canterbury or Chatham. There's also scope to homework a couple of days a week.

You'll work closely with high profile partners and senior managers, providing ad hoc income and capital taxes planning advice to HNW families, entrepreneurs and business owners. This is an advisory-focused role (90%), requiring the CTA qualification and a strong technical understanding of CGT, IHT and income tax issues. Some previous personal tax planning experience would be helpful but is not essential. 

As this is very much a client-facing role, excellent communication and relationship management skills are essential.

Salary will be dependent on experience, but is likely to be in the region c.£45k-£55k + bens.

Assistant Manager, Personal Tax - London £50k-£60k

A fantastic opportunity for a CTA qualified personal tax adviser to join one of London’s premier Private Client Tax teams.

Our client advises a high-end client base of HNW/UHNW entrepreneurs, Times Rich List names, international families, family offices and trusts. Many of their clients have international aspects to their affairs. The team is busy, growing and keen to appoint an additional Personal Tax Assistant Manager. The individual will take responsibility for a HNW portfolio, advising on the annual personal tax compliance cycle, but also identifying and advising on ad hoc personal tax planning opportunities. Previous experience of advising UK res non doms is important.

Full support will be provided with progression towards Manager grade.

Personal Tax Assistant Manager - Winchester

Our client is a prominent firm of accountants and tax advisers, based in the heart of Winchester. They have built a particularly strong reputation for advising landed wealth and HNW families, as well as entrepreneurs, business owners. and international private clients.

The Personal Tax team is busy, growing and keen to make additional appointments at Assistant Manager level.

The incoming individuals will take responsibility for a dynamic portfolio of HNW individuals and their families. They will oversee complex personal tax compliance matters and also get involved with ad hoc capital taxes planning work. This is very much a client-facing role, requiring strong communication and relationship management skills.

The CTA qualification is desirable and you will certainly have extensive experience of advising wealthy private clients and business owners on income tax, IHT, CGT and trusts. Experience in advising landed wealth and farming clients would also be useful, but is not essential.

Tax Investigations Assistant Manager - London £53k-£63k

A fantastic opportunity to join a high-quality Tax Dispute Resolution team. 

Our client is a high-profile, award-winning London accountancy firm that has built a strong reputation in the Personal Tax field. 

Their Tax Investigations offering is core to the Private Client department's success and is widely respected across the profession. Demand for their expertise continues to grow and the team is now keen to appoint an additional adviser at Assistant Manager level. 

Working closely with leading tax investigations specialists, you will support a range of clients with their representations to HMRC. This will include managing a varied portfolio of tax investigation, tax dispute and tax disclosure cases including agreeing strategies and fee structures. You will draft reports and disclosures to HMRC and robustly defend your clients’ positions.

All of this will require some previous experience of tax investigation work, including HMRC enquiries, making disclosures and penalty mitigation. This could have been gained in a pure tax dispute resolution role, but the position would also suit a personal tax adviser with enquiries/investigations experience looking to specialise in tax investigations work.

You will also have a strong technical grasp of UK personal taxation and be ATT, CTA or HMRC qualified. Previous experience of COP8/9 is desirable although partners/directors will provide assistance in that area.

Private Client Tax Advisory Manager - Law Firm, London £60k-£70k

Do you have experience of undertaking personal tax advisory work for HNW private clients?

Do you hold the CTA qualification and currently work at Manager or Assistant Manager level?
